On this cool Saturday evening in Richmond, Virginia Teams  had to adjust their cars all night long. Right from the start cars were spinning  and sliding off the corners. This made for a difficult night. Mark Arthur who sat on the P1 position quickly lost it with a spin. Although he would recover, his night would not get any easier.

Ron Goodison had similar problems as his car spun out of turn 4 sliding him down pit lane. No one was hurt during this spin not even a mouse. Ron said" the car just spun and i was lucky enough to keep it off the wall."

John Battista followed suit with a spin of his own. John spun out of turn 4 as well and all the way down the front stretch. As john entered turn 3 you could see his car bottom out throwing sparks across the track. Later that night he came back from the garage and said " our left rear caliper broke and locked the wheel up. It gave me no indication this was gonna happen it just happened."

Just half way through the race Don Stewart rubbed the wall on thefront stretch. Mark Arthur tried to slow , but it was too late getting into his bumper. Mark spun out of control and right into Todd Sipesending both cars down into the inside wall. With 2 mangled race cars they would go to the garage, but never make it back on the track.

The field took the restart on lap 62. Brandon Simmons fought off the car of Don Stewart pretty much the rest of the way. Don would slip back and forth off his bumper, but was to loose to complete the pass. Brandon Simmons always seems to finish the race with a car that looks like it did at the start. Brandon has run without any incidents and make life easy for his guys back at the shop. Crew Chief Lanny McDonald said" Brandon is probably by far the easiest on equipment, sometimes all we have to do is through a new motor and a coat of wax and were ready for the next race."

One Start One Win

Steve Lam driving for injured David Lam"Chop" could not get a handle on his race all day during practice. This continued through qualifying and into the race. Back in the day Steve was untouchable, but after being out of the car for a couple of years it was tough to shake the rust off last-minute. David is expected to beback in the car at Lanier Speedway. Only losing the lead by 2 points we will have to see if he can win his 4 race in just 4 starts
