Not only will teams see a new track for this season, they will also see some new faces as well. JD Reyes in the 00 Ford Fusion spins out of turn 2 on just lap 6. JD said " I thought the track would have more grip at night, so we loosened the car up right after Qualifying." Ron Goddison Driver of the 18 Chevy Monte-Carlo SS suffers the same fait in almost identical spins. Ron said " not really sure, but felt like oil was in turn 2." It just may have been. Several drivers in the Big Block Modifieds lost their engines during practice Just hours before the main event.

Front tire changer Randy Rolls dropped a lugnut on the left side. Lam" Chop" Stayed calm as Randy finally got it right. David later said " this happens from time to time, but you just can't let it eat at you."

Ricky Howell Jr Spins his tires on the restart giving Mark Arthur a chance at the lead. Mark leads 12 laps keeping Ricky Howell Jr pinned to the apron.      The pit crew of David Lam was on the wall and ready to make up for their mistake. They came in and got 4 tires and packed the car full of fuel. Winning the race off pit road puts David in the drivers seat for yet another win. Mark Arthur moves back into second. Not hitting anything when he spun, Ricky Howell Jr Comes out third.

Mark Arthur found himself on the outside once again. This time he will have to contend with theDavid  Lam. Mark holds tough on the outside for a couple of laps. Falling faster, then he did with Ricky Howell Jr, Mark screaming on the radio "what the hell did you do to my car". Crew Chief Trenton Tiswall said " We gave you 4 stickers and a round of wedge" One lap later Mark blows his front right tire sending him right into the wall.

David Butterworth the points leader coming into the race was having an average day. Qualified 5th and stayed there all day until lap 130.
